Job Description

Overview of the job • Acquire and update knowledge on procedures related to relevant process. • Ensure that the process requirements are met, adhered to, completed in accordance with established procedures and standards set. • Work well independently; complete assigned tasks in the established timeframe as per the process benchmarks. • Instrumental in FRSD analysis • Define test cases • Execute automated scripts • Monitor results and raise defects • Involved in defects resolutions • Enter requirements into ‘Requirements’ module in Quality Centre. • Can be mix of test experts and business experts [with test training]. This is USER Acceptance therefore critical should have user input • Author manual scripts • Maintain manual scripts • Execute manual scripts & Automated Scripts • Monitor results and raise defects • Retest and regression • Ensure that the productivity and quality levels are achieved as per the standards sent for the process. • Work productively, professionally and demonstrate ways to improve customer service. • Proactively identify issues, if any, and escalate. • Assist line manager/supervisor with managing day-to-day operations and support peers on process if needed. • Participate in team meeting / team activities and work towards sustaining team spirit. • Provide service to customers by focusing on resolving requests efficiently, accurately, and professionally. • Demonstrate knowledge of features, benefits and procedures and take initiative to review daily process updates for defect free implementation. • To maintain HSBC internal and external control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Please Note: Testing experience in Payments process or Banking domain is mandatory.
Desired Profile

Knowledge  Expert level qualification as required for the process / as per the benchmark agreed upon between HR and Operations. Experience  Payments Work experience essential, if Payments Work experience is not available then the candidate should have minimum of 2 years of Testing Experience for various products (Banking/Financial products). Skills  2+years of Experience of working within at least one of the following areas: payments, testing analysis/execution, business and process analysis  Ability to produce high quality documentation  Knowledge of software testing tools e.g. Mercury Quality Center  Flexible and open to travel / work different shifts.  Excellent attention to detail and work within tight deadlines  Ability demonstrate a keen interest and enthusiasm to understand their customers’ priorities  Self-starter but also a team player ready to help others and contribute to the overall success  Reliable and responsive, and can put the needs of the customer first  Above average written, verbal, and interpersonal communications aptitude  The capability to independently complete assigned projects and orchestrate the work of others assigned to larger, more complicated projects  Ability to understand and interpret numeric data.  Advanced computer knowledge.  Ability to build rapport with people.
